Small Quilt Ring Process
In this workshop, participants will:  
  1. learn a strategy for using primary source documents to involve students in inquiry learning
  2. consider and discuss what makes learning both effective AND engaging
  3. recognize that "big questions" and the enduring understandings that they produce lead to the creation of meaningful curriculum
  4. practice alignment of desired understanding(s) and assessment tasks
  5. begin to create a plan for their own project which will include:
    -The Big Idea
    a working title
    - What you want students to know
    - articulation of desired "enduring understanding(s)"
    How you'll know they know it
    - a plan for assessment process and/or instruments
    How you will "get there"
    - an outline of skills, knowledge, strategies, experiences necessary
