A single chapter cannot answer every question, touch upon every type of moving image, or mention every relevant collection
of film and video in the area of women's history and culture. Our aim instead has been to provide basic information on access
systems and research methods and to highlight a sampling of the films and television programs in the Library of Congress.
Although some projects may require only a search of the online catalog, most researchers will need to consult with the reference
staff of the Motion Picture and Television Reading Room to explore the varied and vast holdings of the Library's moving-image
collections successfully.
